Tank terminals
Product Handling
Controlled receipt, transfer, storage, movement and dispatch through dedicated manifolds — with segregation, sampling and procedural discipline that preserve product integrity from arrival to release.
Tank terminals
Handling that preserves product integrity
Product handling covers every movement of product within the terminal — receiving it, routing it, conditioning it, moving it between tanks and releasing it for dispatch. Each step is a point where quality can be preserved or lost, and our handling discipline is built to preserve it.
Receipt, transfer, conditioning and dispatch run through dedicated manifolds, preserving product quality and preventing cross-contamination. Segregation, sampling and procedural discipline keep each product’s integrity intact from arrival to release.
Handling is governed by controlled procedures, with every movement authorised, monitored and documented. The standard is straightforward: the product that leaves the terminal is the product that arrived — in the right quantity and the right condition.
Key capabilities
Dedicated Manifolds
Product-specific routing prevents cross-contamination.
Procedural Control
Standardized handling procedures on every movement.
Quality Preservation
Sampling and conditioning protect product integrity.
Segregation
Product segregation maintained from arrival to release.
The handling cycle
From receipt to release
Handling follows a controlled sequence with quality protected at each stage.
- Receipt verification — sampling and gauging on arrival
- Routing through dedicated manifolds to allocated storage
- Conditioning — heating, settling or treatment as required
- Transfer between tanks under controlled procedures
- Final sampling and quality release before dispatch
Preventing contamination
Segregation is the discipline
Cross-contamination is the main risk in product handling. We control it through segregation and procedure.
Products are routed through dedicated manifolds and allocated to compatible tanks. Where shared infrastructure is used, cleaning and changeover procedures are applied before a different product is handled.
Sampling at each stage confirms that integrity is maintained, so customers receive product that meets the agreed specification.
