Safety & sustainability
Safety & Compliance
An integrated HSE management system, process safety, fire prevention and protection, and full regulatory compliance govern every activity — built on API 653, EEMUA 159, IEC 61511 and ISGOTT, and a culture where every team member can stop unsafe work.
Safety & sustainability
Safety is our operating discipline
Safety and compliance are not a separate function at our operations; they are the management system that governs every activity. From the moment a task is planned to the moment it is completed, safety disciplines shape how it is done.
Our approach combines an integrated HSE management system, process safety controls, fire prevention and protection, and full regulatory compliance. Permit-to-work, hazard identification and environmental monitoring are built into every shift, and incidents and near-misses are reported, investigated and learned from.
Our practices draw on API 653, EEMUA 159, IEC 61511 and ISGOTT, supported by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. Auditable records are kept for every inspection, movement and discharge, ready for regulator and customer review.
Key capabilities
HSE Management
Permit-to-work, hazard ID and environmental monitoring on every shift.
Process Safety
Hazard studies, SIL-rated shutdown and overfill protection.
Fire Prevention
Deluge systems, fire and gas detection and a fire-water network.
Regulatory Compliance
Full compliance with applicable regulations and port rules.
Process safety
Controlling process risk at the source
Process safety prevents the loss of containment of hazardous materials — the events that can cause fire, explosion or release.
- Structured hazard studies identify and reduce process risk
- SIL-rated emergency shutdown systems on critical functions
- Engineered overfill protection on every tank
- Management-of-change assesses every modification before operations
- Layers of protection from inherently safe design to emergency response
Fire prevention & protection
Preventing fire, protecting assets
Fire is the most consequential risk at a hydrocarbon terminal. We combine prevention discipline with engineered protection.
- Hot work controlled by permit-to-work
- Ignition source and static electricity control on transfers
- Foam and water deluge systems on every tank and berth
- Fire and gas detection with a dedicated fire-water network
- Regular drills and coordination with port and mutual-aid partners
Regulatory compliance
Compliance as a baseline, not a ceiling
Compliance with applicable national, regional and port-authority regulations is the baseline of how we operate.
Auditable records are kept for every inspection, movement and discharge, so that regulators and customers can verify compliance through documented evidence. Because our operations span multiple jurisdictions through our partner-port network, we work to the requirements that apply at each location.
